    Mini Mantas

The MVST Mini Manta Team is where a lifelong love of swimming begins! This is a developmental, non-competitive group for ages 3-6 with the option to "level up" and join our swim meets if your swimmer feels comfortable!

Our program is designed for young swimmers to build confidence in the water while developing strong, age-appropriate stroke fundamentals. We focus on making each lesson fun, encouraging, and engaging—because when kids enjoy the water, they learn faster and stay motivated.

At the same time, we place a strong emphasis on water safety and foundational survival skills. From learning how to move through the water independently to understanding how to rest, float, and reach the wall, our goal is to equip every swimmer with skills that go beyond the pool.

Through positive coaching, in-water support, and a nurturing team environment, Mini Mantas helps children grow not just as swimmers—but as confident, capable kids who feel at home in the water.

Mini Manta vs. 6&Under (6U) Swimmers

Mini Mantas are still building foundational swim skills. The focus is on water safety, confidence, and learning to move independently through the water!

6 & Under swimmers are part of the "competitive" team and beginning early stroke development. Swimmers in this group may not yet swim the full length of the pool independently, but can swim a short distance on their own and are ready to start learning technique, following structured practice, and participating in meets (freestyle and backstroke).
