About Us
The Morning View Manta Rays are a community-focused Summer League swim team based in Suwanee, Georgia and proudly compete in the Gwinnett County Swim League (GCSL). We began in 1999 with just 80 swimmers and have grown into a vibrant team of nearly 200 athletes, ranging from ages 3 to 18.
We believe swimming should be accessible to all children and aim to empower every swimmer to feel strong, confident, and supported in the water. Our team values community, good sportsmanship, and celebrating each other’s successes, both in and out of the pool.
Our season runs from mid-May through early July, with practices beginning after school and transitioning to morning sessions once school is out.
We welcome swimmers of all experience levels who are excited to learn, grow, and be part of a fun team environment! To safely participate on the swim team, swimmers must be able to swim laps across the pool unassisted (with no coach in the water) and follow group instruction.
Our Mini-Manta Ray program is designed for younger swimmers ages 3–6 who are still working toward swimming the full length of the pool independently. Mini-Mantas receive age-appropriate instruction in a smaller pool with dedicated coaches and may graduate to the main team once they’re ready.
For older swimmers who are still learning to swim, we’re happy to recommend great learn-to-swim programs in the area — just reach out and we’ll point you in the right direction!
While competitive swimming and improved technique are key parts of our program, we also emphasize fun, teamwork, and personal growth. Though not intended to replace formal swim lessons, our practices help swimmers develop confidence, improve strokes, and build endurance under the guidance of experienced coaches.
We happily accept swimmers from both inside and outside the Morning View neighborhood. For more information, visit our Registration page or contact us at [email protected].
